Launched in this month Coolpad Note 3 Plus is the third variant in the line of Coolpad series by the company.

After the initial success of the Coolpad note launched in dec last year and later Coolpad Note 3 Lite, Coolpad has launched its third and supposedly final variant of the Coolpad Note series, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus. Note 3 plus has slightly improved spec than its older brothers like the 1080p full HD display. Like its previous variants Note 3 plus houses the same 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6753 processor with 3 Gb of RAM and with the same 16 GB of internal storage expandable upto 64 GB via microSD card. it has a 13 MP Primary camera and 5 MP front camera with the same Android version 5.1 running with custom CoolUI 6.0 on the top.

   Build and Design

If compared to Note 3, the Note 3 Plus doesn't feel any different at all, despite being heavier than its older counterpart probably because of the heavy full HD display. Coolpad tried to make Note 3 plus a little sportier with some design changes and a renewed logo. But that doesn't worked that well because when you hold both these smartphone you can't tell the difference.

Even it fell like the its old counter part that doesn't mean it lacks the style. its edge to edge screen looks fantastic and the metallic strip at the front edge only makes it look more sharper. despite having a plastic body the phone is quite heavy and that maybe because of better display which is a good thing as you can see sharper images than its predecessor.

Performance

When it comes to performance most people might think a phone with a aged processor can't keep up, well not in this case. I don't know how they pulled it off but the Note 3 Plus works quite well and doesn't lag and with the help of 3 GB of RAM it operated most of the application very smoothly. but because of this it tend to overheat, not that much but still noticeable. even though it runs most app smoothly one might notice the performance difference between Note 3 Plus and some other new phones.

Housing the same battery as the Note 3, but having a bigger effect has its toll on the battery backup. the phone runs out a bit short because of average power management and full HD display. one might stretch the battery life upto a day by moderate usage of the phone.

When it comes to the camera performance Note 3 plus performed same as it older counter part because of the same camera. that doesn't mean the picture quality was bad. the picture clicked in the day light were decent enough at this price range. but still improvements could have been made as the picture lacked the punch as compared to its predecessors.

Bottomline

Coolpad Note 3 Plus doesn't bring anything new to the table even after half a year after the launch of its first model. it does have the slightly better display but that only makes it slightly better which is not enough as their is rising demand in this segment and there are a number a competitors and Coolpad must have brought up some changes to back up this Note 3 Plus. But even then it is a good smartphone at the sub 10k category it does lack the innovation but it does have a good display and  good processing power and it is good enough for buyers to consider for.
