Design and Looks

One primary thing that LeEco improved upon is the design. its younger brother, the LeEco Max was big, very big. it was packed with a massive 6.33 inches display which way to big for a smartphone and technically placed it in the tablet category. but now they have learned their lesson and has improved upon the design which feel very good and way more ergonomic.
The full aluminum uni-body feel very good when held and far better than it older version. on the back there is the fingerprint sensor and just above it is the primary camera. when you look at it you can clearly notice the camera bulges outside on the plain back panel which looks quite good but will show problem on the long term because of scratches. above the camera you can notice the black pin striping that just adds to its looks.
The face is covered with a 5.7 inches Quad HD display. On the top there is the 8 MP front camera on the bottom of the screen there is the metal panel with no button indicator which looks very clean. the display is almost edge to edge and but unfortunately lacks the Gorilla Glass which has become a standard on smartphones at this price range. and at the bottom of the phone is the usb type connector for data transfer and power with no 3.5mm jack.

Display and Camera

The 1440x2560 display with a 515 ppi doesn't sound quite impressive but wait till you look at it. the sharpness of the display is amazing and the viewing angle is great too. the display performance excels at indoors but when taken outside it disappoints because of its average brightness. the lack of gorilla glass also makes it a bad outdoor performer. but where it lacks on the outdoor qualities it makes up for them in the indoor functionality.
On paper having a 21 MP camera sounds quite impressive as it already better than most of the flagship killer but it the actual performance that count. we are not saying that it has the best camera but it is definitely better than many other smartphones in this segment and quite impressive compared to its previous model. under daylight the camera excels and there is no doubt it take very good picture. the camera also performs reasonably good under indoor conditions too.

Performance

Like I said on paper these specs look very impressive and sometimes it is actually correct. housing a massive 2.15 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which you can find in high end flagships and nowadays it is becoming a standard among them ( well until something better is introduced ) Le Max 2 has also entered the brotherhood of Snapdragon 820. but having this much power has its issue, which in its case is the heating. Le Max also houses 6 GB of RAM which is very impressive, saying at the least because it is one of only two phone having this much RAM. other being you guessed it right, its competitor the OnePlus 3. and how much you try you can never utilize the RAM at its full capacity. hell one cannot use have of its RAM playing the heaviest mobile game.

At this price range what can be added more. how about a usb type-c connector. this type-c connector enables fast data transfer and faster than your micro usb port. it also enables CDLA which is a feature that is unique and necessary. unique because better audio quality than your normal 3.5 mm headphone jack and necessary because Le Max 2 doesn't have a 3.5 mm jack. we know CDLA is in its early stages and you have to buy separate type-c headphones for them but for those people who find it unnecessary LeEco has included a convertor for them.

The Verdict

Packing this much hardware at this price range one might simply call it the best value for money smartphone and it give a tough competition to its competitors. and we know it is not the best out there but there is no doubt that it stand along side the competition and worth checking out considering its massive specs.
