Lenovo Vibe K4 Note aka Note K4 is the 4th in the Note series by the Chinese telecom company Lenovo.
Brief Description
When Lenovo launched its A6000 it entered the 10k arena of the smartphones although it had launched other sub 10k smartphones like A536 it was later released A6000 which actually took every buyer and even the companies by surprise. but that day is their past and now they have somewhat dominated the value for money segment in the sub 15k category with their Note series and now they have launched their new contender in this arena to carry on the name of the Note series, the Note K4 or its official name "Lenovo Vibe K4 Note" but that's too long.
Like its older brother it sports the best specs in its price range. Build and Design
when compared to other value for money smartphones in this category like Redmi 3, most of them are made of metal and most users prefer metal because it gives their phones are premium look and feel but Note K4 lack that metal body. but that doesn't mean the phone looks any less good.
the one we had was a matte black finished which looked mean as hell, the display was almost edge to edge which also looked pretty good. at the back you have your 13 MP camera with a finger print scanner below it. while holding the phone you would feel that it is lighter than the other phones in the same category, I guess the reason would be the full plastic body. with a 5.5 inches full HD IPS LCD display, the screen is very bright, having sharp images and good contrast.
Performance
The Note K4 is powered by 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor which is quite less to the main rival in the market the Redmi Note 3 which has brand new Snapdragon 650 processor which adds up to its down side. but the has 3 GB of RAM which is plenty to most of the multi taking without hanging. also having a good separate GPU adds upto to its up side which is new for mobile gamers. one thing that Note K4 does exceeds is the storage. Note K4 has 32 GB internal memory with upto 128 GB expandable which other smartphones in this category do not offer. either they have not microSD card slots or they have been limited the 32 to 64 GB.
One of the other thing that no other phone in this category offer is the VR support. with an additional cost of Rs.1300 you can buy ANT VR headset. you just have place the phone in the VR gear. although it is as high tech as other VR system in the market nor does it feel that awesome but what it does is gives a serious advantage to the competition.
Bottomline
The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note will be a so-so smartphone for the buyer because if you are looking for power then there are other options in the market. it doesn't primary perform very well in any field but what it does is just carry the name forward the of the Note's name.
the one thing that might interest you is the introduction of VR system in a smartphone at this price range. if you are tech savy like me
