Coolpad Max is the new flagship model lauched by the Coolpad launched on May 2016. It boastes a powerful 1.5 GHZ octa-core snapdragon 617 processor with 4 GB of RAM. It also contains a separate graphics processing unit with internal memory upto 64 GB and can be expanded upto 128 GB. Despite having such heavy hardware the phone is just 6.9 mm thick and weighs 175 gm. It also sports a fingerprint at the back of the phone.

The primary camera of the Coolpad max of 13 MP with digital zoom, auto focus, face detection, HDR and the usual stuff of any phone of smartphone in 25k category. It also has a 5 MP front camera for click selfies.

• With the 64 GB internal memory given by the Coolpad you would hardly need to worry about memory again but there is always a option given by using a microSD card to expand its memory upto 128 GB.
  
  



• During the testing the camera performed significantly well as compared to smartphone in the same price category. The images clicked were pretty decent even in the daylight and also performed well in low light and at light. The LED flash also performed well at night with little to no glare in the images.
  
  



• Here what Coolpad did something cool, providing Coolpad Max with Gorilla glass 4 which no company has provided at this price range which is a huge step for the company giving that it only comes under sub 30K category. 

         Areas For Improvement

• Any smartphone at this price range should be expected with the latest updates but Coolpad Max still has Android version 5.1 as its stock android. The phone would obviously get the android update but the user have to wait for them.
  
  



• Despite having a 1.5 GHZ octa-core processor the phone performed slightly weaker than the other phone in the segment during our bechmarks. The difference in the performance wasn't big but still noticeable.
  
  



• With great power comes great responsibility and one must know how to handle this power but in this case the great power was somewhat a bane for the phone as it continuously overheated during benchmark testing.

 

Final Verdict

For those who are looking for value for money at this price range look no further as Coolpad Max provided a very great balance between power and beauty. Its rounded corners and smooth back panel feels like a cushion and you don't even have to worry about the screen if you drop it as it comes with fitted with newest Gorilla glass 4. It somewhat tends to over heat and lack a punch but if you look past that or you like clicking photos and selfies then this the best smartphone you can buy at this price range with these features.
